Well I know you have all been on pins and needles waiting for Danica's 9 month trip to see Dr. John and to find out exactly how big she is. Okay so maybe you weren't on pins and needles but here are her vitals anyway....She was 29 1/8 inches (95 percentile) and 20 lbs 5 ozs (75 percentile). She is a healthy little tyke!
Her appointment with Dr. John was late this afternoon so I took off work a little early, and since she has been walking we wanted to get her some good shoes to be able to wear outside and play so I headed to Stride Rite at Zona Rosa. The girl is not only tall like her parents but she has a big foot too : ) She comes by it naturally. The lovely young girl at Stride Rite welcomed us and measured Danica's foot, all the while Danica was having a great time, smiling and taking in all of the shoes. Did I mention we bought a size 5! She actually measured a 4 1/2 but the sales lady encouraged us to buy the 5 so she had "room to grow" (Check out the picture below for her fashion show.) After our Stride Rite stop we headed to Gymboree to check on some spring/summer duds--we found a couple of good deals and then ventured down the street to grab a couple of items for me at Express and then on to Target to do a bit of grocery shopping before we met up with Dr. John. After her check up the two of us headed to Red Robin for a little St. Patricks Day dinner. Danica was great!
It has been a wonderful warm few days and we have enjoyed several jogs through Hamilton, hopefully Spring has sprung!I am often completely amazed by our little girl, Danica is absolutely full of so much personality and spirit. St. Patricks Day, just like each day of her life, has proved to be one to remember, full of joy, laughs, giggles and love!
