"Joey doesn't share food!"
It was a typical Thursday morning, Danica playing I am in the kitchen making bottles for the day. We have eaten breakfast, had a bottle and are just about ready to head out the door. All of the sudden, silence....that is never good. So I walk down to the family room from the kitchen, no Danica. The laundry room door is open, uh-oh, there my beautiful daughter is sitting in front of Punkin's food dish with both hands just stirring the food around. No problem right, she had her "binks" in her mouth when she was playing with her blocks just a second ago....wrong, no binks and cat food after some fishing, a piece of catfood emerges from her mouth. Yum-O! I guess atleast it wasn't the litter box!

Hi!
We have a had a somewhat relaxing weekend.....who am I kidding, today was somewhat relaxing. Yesterday I worked in the morning, Kelly and his brother Colt went to Columbia to see Mizzou take on Texas Tech and Danica spent the morning with her PaPa. She was way to excited to be playing with him, so she didn't take a nap all morning, but racked out hard when we got home at about 12:30. One of our good friends for Mid-Missouri came into town on Saturday night, it was great to see Jordan and Danica was simply happy to see a new face.
Danica starting waving this weekend. She spent Saturday looking at her hands alot and now when you say hi or hello she will give you a wave, it is too cute!
Danica has also stood on her own for a few seconds. That's right, no hands! She is into everything--it is now officially time to put some of those cabinet door latches on our cabinets--we just have too darn many. At one point this weekend, I think Danica got tired of her toys, wanted her own spot to sit and chill, so she was climbing all over her car seat--we put her in to just hang, she was content!
This week is the Hamilton basketball tournament so hopefully we will get a chance to get out and enjoy some Hornet hoops!

3 Day Weekend!

We have had a great weekend, and lucky me, no work tomorrow! Danica and I are going to take it easy in the morning and then make our way to Super Target to do some shopping in the afternoon. Gotta love the Target!
Danica has slept through the night now for 3 nights in a row and has been taking some really great naps too.
She has got some personality. Tonight it was the cutest thing....she discovered there was a picture on her diaper and just sat and pulled at the picture of big bird, realized it wasn't going anywhere and quit, only to take a break a couple of minutes later to do it again.
She has a favorite book "The Black Cat," no lie, it is the one book that she will sit still and listen to. However, she loves to pull out all of her books from her book basket, get frustrated, pick up a book and put it to her forehead--Kelly and I think maybe she is reading by osmosis. Smart kid, why open it?
Over the last 7 months I have done my best to document all of Danica's "firsts" well some may be more note worthy than others and you will soon know what I mean....
Tonight Danica pooped in the bathtub for the first time.
I can remember cracking up when Chloe did this at my mom and dad's house a few years ago and was just thankful I didn't have to clean it up. I wasn't so lucky this time. The thing that really made it worse was it was the tail end of our bath, so she was clean, and she has had some loose stools lately, this time was no different. Good thing the girl loves her bath, because we emptied the tub and filled it back up to wash her tush!

Welcome to our new spot!

I know it seems kind of crazy after all the work put into the website, but this is free and I have found blogging to be kind of fun! Plus, you don't really want to pour through all that news, pictures, dates, etc. everytime I have something new to share about our family. So from now on the Green family will blog as often as possible to keep in touch with everyone who isn't so close and even those who are close--maybe you will become addicted to blogging too! So gone is the history of pictures and we will move forward from here.
We are doing great as are all of the new additions to our family!
Danica has been at Dana Kavanaugh's for the last week since Grammy and Papa are gone on their annual "bank trip" to Mexico. Danica loves it at Dana's. My folks were hoping Danica would have a tooth upon their arrival home, but it doesn't look promising. The little turkey seems to have been teething for the last 3 months.
She is such a joy! We have now started taking our morning milk from a sippy cup and as of Tuesday, will hold it herself through the first couple of ounces but "gets tired" and a little lazy so mommy has to finish. She has starting eating, I use the word loosely, teething bisquits, loves them (and we love the mess), which has allowed for a couple of family dinners at the kitchen table. FUN! Let me know what you think of the blog--hope you don't miss the site too much. I promise this will be better!
