It's a BOY!

Kelly and I were thrilled during our ultrasound on Friday to find out Danica will be a big sister to a little brother. He is about 12 ounces and is right on schedule for his January arrival. His ultrasound profile resembles Danica alot--that picture not included, the one that is does not look a thing like Danica : )

Lakers Weekend

We really enjoyed our Laker weekend with the DeWitte's, Gregory's and Gagnon's. Great food, great place to crash and super company! Danica didn't dig the lake near as much as she likes the pool but none the less she enjoyed getting wet and playing outside with Jake and Max. She just wasn't a fan of the life jacket---it took her straight into a back float!

Danica has a molar coming in at that moment, but doesn't seem too phased by it.

She is talking more and more and loves to jabber jibberish, which we get a great laugh out of. Kelly has been back to work now a full week and started school with kiddos on Wednesday. It is great to see those little people walking into a new building---very exciting to see it complete!

Baby Bean #2

The Green family met August 7, 2009 with some sadness. My Granny, Martha Morgan, passed away overnight, she was 84 years old and a phenomenal human being. She had become known as GiGi since becoming a great grandmother and leaves behind a legacy for all of us to remember.
On a better note, we did get to hear our little babies heartbeat again today and it was 144. Everything is great and progressing nicely. Kelly and I were excited to schedule our next appointment which will be the sonogram and is taking place on August 28th!
Danica is officially off the bottle her bedtime bottle is gone and it was the grand finale last night. No problems at all, she is such a trooper!

14 Months Old...

I know I say it every time but it is completely hard to believe that Danica is 14 months old. She has truly enjoyed this summer and recently got her very first golf club and when she is on the green at the golf course deposits her golf ball in the cup---the girl gets the game! She is saying more and more everyday and watch out she will mimimick anything you do. Some of her newest words are Ally, Blythe, light and hide. Danica still loves to dance and especially spin until she falls over, which has lead to a few headers into the couch or coffee table. Another one of her favorite pass times is swimming in her little plastic pool or playing in her sand box. Now, as you can see in the picture, Danica is playing bare butt in her swimming pool, this is normally not the case. When playing outside in the sandbox she decided to take her bucket and proceed to dump water over her head, so mom made the decision to just strip her down and let her go to town.
This past month we purchased a frog potty to hopefully start getting excited about using the "big girl potty," it is just a goal for before baby #2 arrives, we will see. However, on Sunday , I could tell she was getting ready to poop so I asked her if she wanted to use the potty, she shook her head yes so off to the potty we went, she sat for a minute before wanting down, and sure enough just a little waste in the bowl. We were excited! I have to be honest though, the frog potty has been used more as a step stool to get to things she isn't suppose to have then it has been a potty. : )
Danica is weaning herself from her only remaining bottle, which is before bed, she has now gone 4 nights in a row completely uninterested in it---I guess I might just quit trying.
Baby Green #2 doctor's appointment tomorrow, we will fill you in!

Lions and Tigers and NO Bears...Oh My!

The Green family met the Heits family at the KC Zoo on Saturday for Madelynn and Danica's first zoo experience. Both girls were exceptional and Brian and Kelly behaved too! We had a great day checking out ALL of the animals, except bears, not one bear to speak of--how crazy is that? One of the best moments was visiting the chimpanzees, there were a lot of them and the little baby chimpanzee came right up to the glass where Danica and Kelly were sitting and looked in too cute! It was also fun for Danica to feed a deer and a sheep. She has recently learned to Baa like a sheep so it was cool to hear the real deal.
