I really need to get better at posting to this blog, if I am going to be a true blogger. Saturday night Kelly and I hosted the first Supper Club for a group of our friends here in Hamilton. We are hoping this becomes a fast tradition for years to come. We are a bit untraditional in our Supper Club approach, and casual to say the least, many folks were eating on my "good" china off their laps. I am sure you won't find that in any etiquette books. Oh well, the food was good, I probably would have eaten it off the floor, especially since I had just mopped. Kelly and I set a Mardi Gras theme for the night and we prepared a Jampasta, which is a spin on Jambalya in pasta form, it was delicious, and we prepared a themed beverage The Hurricane--tasted and enjoyed by many. Others brought Crawfish Etoufee, Moufalata (sp?), Red Beans and Rice, Salad, Cornbread, Yam Bisquits and King Cake. I am telling you what the spread was amazing and I am not sure but I think I could have lost my husband to the preparer of the Etoufee--good thing it was a dude! : )
It was a great evening with lots of great stories, I am quite sure this group has a fun future!
