What a day! We were up and ready to rip at 7:30 a.m., made pink confetti pancakes in honor of Easter morning and then checked out our Easter basket, thanks Grammy and PaPa for the sweet basket! Danica got some pretty cools stuff from the family and from the bunny himself. Thank you everyone for making her first Easter so much fun! After breakfast and baskets it was an attempt at a little snooze before church, didn't happen, but it was attempted. After church, which was a great service on prayer (I needed that one, I was just quizzing my bible study group about prayer) it was home to finishing preparing lunch for Grammy, Papa and Mer Mer. That was tough, can I just tell you, first I forgot to put the ham in the oven, then I didn't put the coffee in the coffee pot so I brewed a nice pot of water, and who needs to plug in the crock pot to make your potatoes cook? I am blaming it on having a child, isn't there something called "mommy brain?"Late in the afternoon, Blythe, Brian, Madelynn and Mallory stopped by for a quick visit on their way back to Columbia, always great to see them and they brought the best Spring book and shirt for Miss Danica too! Spoiled.....
After everyones departure, we played around a bit, ate some supper and then the Whitt's stopped by with a giant bouncy ball for Danica. She loves to play "catch" so that of course was a hit! Then it was time for bath and bed....what a day....we were blessed for sure! Happy Easter everyone and may you truly remember the reason for the season!
